Purpose and breeding goals
What the program breeds toward, how success is defined, and whether its stated priorities support responsible decisions.
BreederWorks Verify
The BreederWorks Verified badge identifies a breeding program that completed our detailed application, supplied substantive answers, attested to their accuracy, and passed individual staff review.
What we examine
Verification evaluates the program as a whole. A polished website, a paid account, or a single document is not enough. Applicants must explain how they operate and give our reviewers enough information to make a responsible decision.
What the program breeds toward, how success is defined, and whether its stated priorities support responsible decisions.
How dogs and puppies are housed, raised, exercised, handled, enriched, and socialized in ordinary day-to-day practice.
The program’s approach to breed-relevant testing, veterinary care, preventive care, and communicating health information.
How breeding, litter, puppy, health, ownership, and customer records are maintained and connected over time.
How homes are evaluated, expectations are set, contracts are handled, and support continues after placement.
How the breeder continues learning, uses qualified guidance, and contributes to stronger breeding practices.
Professional relationships, references, community involvement, and other context that helps reviewers evaluate credibility.
A formal attestation that submitted information is accurate and acceptance of continued review after approval.
The approval path
The breeder completes every substantive program section and prepares a public statement.
The breeder confirms the information is accurate and accepts the program’s ethical expectations.
A reviewer evaluates the complete application and may reject it or require revisions.
Approved status remains subject to accuracy, conduct, complaints, and continued eligibility.
Read the badge correctly
Verification means a program passed our review based on the information and evidence available at the time. It does not promise a particular puppy, transaction, health outcome, or personal fit.
The program completed the BreederWorks Verify process, received staff approval, and has an active public verification profile.
Review health records, parent information, contracts, payment instructions, current puppy details, and the breeder relationship before making a commitment.
Official badge
Approved breeders may display this badge while their status remains active. The badge must link to that breeder’s BreederWorks Verify profile, where visitors can confirm the program’s current status.
The badge may not be altered, transferred to another program, or used after approval is withdrawn or archived. Badge files and website embed code are available only to approved breeders inside BreederWorks Hub.
