Each puppy is a Youngling row tied to a litter. Its Status (expected, born, ready, sold, keep, etc.), price, and description are the operational source of truth before anything appears on a website or in buyer communication.
Common status approach
- Expected / born for early life stages
- Ready when appropriately available
- Sold or keep when placement is final
- Inactive when the row should drop from active work
- Pricing and notes updated when offers or holds change
Practical note
Stale availability creates duplicate questions—update younglings when the conversation moves.
