Overview
Stay inside the same Order through pickup: add order payments until the balance matches your policy. Payment Status includes pending, completed, failed, and refunded—use completed when money is real. Customer CustomerStatus often progresses toward order as sale finalizes.
Track at minimum
- Remaining balance implied by order items and payments
- Due timing captured in notes or office process
- Method per payment
- Clearing vs. pending when gateways are involved
- Notes for payment plans or unusual timing
Practical note
Pickup day is smoother when the order already shows paid.
