Creating your first litter

Overview

Use Kennel → Litters to create the litter, attach mother and father from Animals, and track dates and status. After birth, add Younglings from the litter detail page so each puppy has its own status, pricing, and pick order.

Basic flow

  1. Confirm sire and dam animal records are correct.
  2. Create the litter and set DOB and description when known.
  3. Add younglings for each puppy (bulk add is available from the litter detail view).
  4. Update each youngling status (expected, born, ready, sold, etc.) as reality changes.
  5. Link Store activity through customers and orders when deposits or sales apply.

Practical note

The litter detail screen lists younglings in one place—use it instead of tracking puppies only in messages.
