Overview
Open the youngling from Kennel → Younglings or from the litter's youngling table. Use Customer records under Store → Customers and Orders to document deposits and sales. Order items can reference kennel animals or litters, keeping financial history next to the dog.
Good assignment workflow
- Review the buyer's customer record and application notes if present.
- Compare temperament or program notes on the youngling.
- Update youngling status when a hold or sale is real.
- Create or update the order and payments to match money received.
- Communicate pickup or contract steps from the same facts you saved.

Document placement while it is fresh—memory is not a database column.
